Comprehensive Tailored Human Resources Program
If you have determined that a more complete HR model or program would best suit your organization's needs, ParkAllenHR has a tiered comprehensive program that can be tailored to meet your specific needs. Here are the levels of change that we would investigate:
1. Are you compliant?
We will review your various processes to ensure your organization is in full compliance with employment laws and ordinances. This covers all of the HR documentation and processes every business must follow in order to comply with federal and state law. We'll audit your employee records and record-keeping practices, review your compliance with federal posting requirements, and make sure that you have all of the documents necessary for proper, legal intake of new employees and separation of terminating employees. Together, we'll produce various processes, checklists, and documents that will establish or enhance your organizations' policies and procedures.
Once this analysis is complete you'll know that your organization is compliant with basic employment regulations. We can then assist you in the next level...
2. How do your employees know what you want them to do?
There are several communication documents that are essential to create, maintain, and redefine at regular intervals. They include:
- An Organizational Structure Chart,
- Job Descriptions (including physical requirements) for each position in your organization,
- Your Performance Management and Goal Setting process
ParkAllenHR will evaluate each of these documents for you, and give you options for how you want your documents to appear. They can be broad based or they can be very specific. Once these documents are completed, we will assist you with the roll-out of these documents to your staff (or help you prepare to roll them out yourself). These documents will go a long way to reduce or eliminate the "communication breakdown" that many organizations experience.
Lastly, oftentimes staff requires training in how to use these documents (especially the goal setting and performance evaluation creation and implementation). If your managers and supervisors need this training, we'll provide the opportunity for those managers and supervisors to learn about these tools.
3. Strategic Staff Planning
In the third step of the Employment Lifecycle Analysis and Culture Focus Project, ParkAllenHR will guide you through what most organizations fail to do: strategic HR planning. During this third phase, we will suggest options for you to consider in regards to workforce planning, compensation and benefits planning, and employee skill enrichment and training.
Workforce Planning
Workforce planning is looking at what an organization needs to accomplish in a given period of time; what knowledge, skills, and experience are required to get the job done; and how large and what type of workforce is required to provide that mix of skills, knowledge, and experience. It defines the activities necessary to have "the right people with the right skills in the right place at the right time".
ParkAllenHR will help you assess whether your employees have all the skills that you need to improve the success your organization is experiencing, and if you have the right staff to take you where you want your organization to go in the future.
The process for Strategic Workforce Planning begins with identifying and streamlining the organization's overall business strategy. This means identifying the critical talent needs that if not met can materially adversely impact business success. Once the business risks are fully appreciated then attention turns to schedule and timing. Assessing current internal capability and assessing its relative position when it will be called upon in the future. Speculating on future sourcing options and identifying the preferred sourcing option. Implementation and execution follow.
Compensation and Benefits Strategic Planning
Simply put: are you paying too little, just right, or too much for your talent? Are people of similar positions relatively evenly compensated? If not, what will you do to better establish internal equity in your organization?
It is essential that you know who you compete with for your employees, and if you intend to compensate your staff at a higher, even, or lower salary than those competitors. Then we will help you discern where you are in the market. After you have those answers, then you will make choices about what actions you plan to take immediately, and what changes you plan to implement over time.
Coaching
Does your staff have the training they need to take you to the next level? If not, where do you start? We will coach you and/or your designates on how to better communicate your expectations, and additionally how to hold your people accountable for their responsibilities and deliverables. And if they do not meet your expectations ParkAllenHR will assist you with the outplacement of those individuals.
